Little girls often have big dreams. As we grow up, reality seems to usually force those big dreams into the recesses of our minds. There are a lot of people out there who resent the fact that their lives wound up in different directions than they wanted them to go. It's usually not our choice. Maybe certain responsibilities weighed on our shoulders, or finances might have played a role. Whatever the reason, reality did not measure up to those dreams.

You have two choices. You can sit back, pout and be bitter - or you can learn to embrace the adventure God has chosen for you. For when things are unplanned, they are really adventures aren't they? It's all in how you look at it. There is so much in our daily world that we can find to make us happy. So many opportunities sit untapped.

I want to encourage all of us as women and mothers to take our dreams and put them into our lives again. Stop feeling sorry for yourself because your life went down a different path. Embrace the new direction you are in! Turn whatever you've got into a new dream for yourself and for your family.

What you make of your life is up to you. Attitude will carry you farther than you ever could have dreamed. I pray that wherever you are on the road of life that you can conquer the turns and twists and make happiness out of each curve for yourself and for your family.
