Like an angry ocean on a stormy day
My emotions flow ragingly through my soul
Sifting the ugly imperfections of my ways

Not like the yesterdays when melodically they seemed to
dance like the softness of a love song
What has made my heart go wrong?

“Easy come easy go“, so many will say
It’s just like the fish that got away
Easy for others to lay my life out on a spread sheet
and analyze each and every turn
But in my heart this roaring fire still burns

These heavy soiled emotions will be mine to decipher
and these never-ending painful nights will one day fade
but until all becomes, for my understanding
I will take a deep and refreshing breath
and try to make it through another day
