Only In The Daylight
By Elaine O'reilly

I lay beside you, watching you sleep, running my fingers through your hair, caressing you, aching for your love. I'm thankful it's dark and you cannot see the tears streaming down my cheeks. You may never know what I feel while I lay with you. You must know that I love you. Before you there was heartache and pain, I didn't know you would crush me as well. Your essense gave my life meaning and hope, the strength to go on. Here I am with my head on your pillow after heated and passionate lovemaking. Damn you, why is it so great with us in bed? You are so different when we make love, caressing me, kissing me, soothing me until I fall asleep. But tonight I lay awake, wanting this to last forever. You've captured my soul. At night I can hold you, only in daylight do the nightmares begin.
