Never Right, Never Good

It's never good enough,
I put you on a pedistal,
But you walk on me, instead.
I'd give you rose petals,
I'd give you the stars,
I'd blot the sun from the sky,
If that is what your heart desires.
I give you love,
You break my heart.
How can I not be enough?
My spirit has left,
I feel so empty,
But I forgive you,again.
I'd fly you to the moon,
I'd buy you an island paradise,
I'd give you the world,
If that is what your heart desires.
I mend the cracks,
And try to start over,
But you linger in my mind.
Would you love me if we were alone,
Or is it just when I'm away,
You miss the thought of me.
I'll give you my body,
I'll send you my love,
I'd kill myself,
If that's what your heart desires.
This is for someone who has now made me cry too many rivers.
