The love of mine eyes
By Parveen Mehboob Chiba
Married in autumn
under the crimson-washed sky
he preached to me his love
and everlasting devotion
I was yet to find reality
It was a dream, I was sure
I was young, ignorant of bliss
And perchance his heart wandered astray
I was ready, ready to forgive
I was yet to find reality
A single leaf fell upon my lap
A tear on my cheek
A rip in my soul
It was then I knew
I was yet to find reality
And ten years past
The pain etched upon my shattered heart
eats away at me day by day
He was gone for sure
but I was still to find reality
I met him by chance
I loved him with passion
I still keep him in a little pocket
a little niche, in my mind
But I was yet to find reality
Married in Autumn
A whore from his work
He thought he was escaping
from our love...our love
But he was yet to find reality
Reality, yes reality
a sin in itself
yet the only truth in our being
the shadow in our hearts
I will never find reality
Dearest regrets to Ronald and Romeo, my deepest wishes, Parv
