Her name starts with a “J” and ends with an “E”
For some reason, this girl means the world to me

I care about this girl more than she could possibly see
Come to think about it, I actually carved our initials into a tree.

We got together when we were both very young,
And now that I look back on it, I think it was pretty dumb.

We were both young and rushed into things we probably shouldn’t have done,
But I think about these things, and they sure were fun.

We got in a couple fights and I regret them all,
But I had time to learn from them, all through summer and fall

I look back on times I would love to re-live,
Like camping, fishing, and when she was in the mood to give.

I don’t mean for this poem to be funny, the situation is pretty serious
But the mere thought of it all, makes me a little delirious.

Not in a bad way, I always speak for the good,
But from my position, I don’t think I should
If I thought it was a good idea, Then I probably would.

Now I’m in a situation I never thought I would be in,
When I think about what I did to her, thought itself turns to sin.

I’m trying to rebuild and construct what we used to own,
But it’s so farfetched, we can only talk about it on the phone.

On one side of the room I see a wonderful future,
While on the other side I see a horrific past.
Yet I stand in the middle, where the present is moving way too fast.

You mean the world to me although you may not know it,
I’ll try my hardest and then learn to show it.

You used to be my snuggle bunny,
And now I call you hun, short for honey.

Honey is sweet just like you, but it’s also precious to me,
As my taste buds will gladly agree

So now you know how important you are and how much you mean to me,
But always remember our saying…
