Grains of sand slowly slip by,
Pages blurr and disappear before my eyes.
My ears strain to hear
The whispering wind
Carrying the soft musical melody which sends,
Undeniable joy racing
Through my heart.

Is that the softest caress
Or just a gentle breeze?
Anticipation; eagerly waiting
As my actions freeze.
Should I open my eyes,
Finding you not there?
I feel the tips of your fingers glide
Through my silky hair.
Yearning desires pull me near.

Your lips hover above mine;
Our soft sighs mingle.
For a frozen fraction of time
Our lips brush; igniting a tingle.
Beautiful sculptured hands
Cradled my face.
Eyes locked;
Hearts beating a simultaneous pace;
I am outside looking inside
through the windows of your soul.
